  • 1. Muscat City Tour

      Note: All visitors are kindly advised to dress covering their arms and legs and ladies to wear a scarf covering the head. Grand Mosque is closed to visitors on Fridays and no visitors allowed.

      Muscat: Muscat is a verdant oasis with flowers & fountains gracing every vista. This rapidly expanding capital of Oman has well preserved historical monuments harmoniously blending with modern amenities. The charm of the Al Alam Palace is beautifully offset by the sentinel towers of the Jalali and Mirani forts that overlook the natural harbour.

      Half a day tour in Muscat, the capital area, begins in the morning showing you the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, which features five minarets representing the five pillars of Islam, with the main minaret which is more than 90 meters high. Built at Sultan Qaboos' personal expenses, the Grand Mosque consisting of a library and Centre for the teaching of religious studies.

      Will continue our drive through the beautiful embassy area to Cornish, where we will visit the Fish & vegetable Markets.

      Thereafter, proceed to traditional Souq of Muttrah, one of the oldest preserved souqs in Oman. Gold and silver jewellery is found in abundance, as well as numerous wooden carvings, ornaments, spices & many souvenirs are available to carry for your loved once and to mark your journey to Oman.

      We will also visit the Old Town of Muscat, photo stop at Palace of His Majesty and take a walk around the 16th Century forts, Jalali and Mirani which was built by Portuguese.

      Nakhal Fort & spring in Ain Thowarah.

      We leave in the morning for Nakhal, our first visit of the day is a magnificent Fort perched on a rocky mountain, which overlooks a small town known for date plantation. Proceed to a village called Thowarah where warm water coming out of a spring, believed that full of minerals & healing ingredients is contained.

      Will continue our 4WD safari to Wadi Abyadh, "the white valley", which is an amazing mix of the most attractive Omani sceneries. Wadi, mountain, dunes: Wadi Abyadh has it all.

      Wadi Abyadh will charm you with its flowing water all year long, its oleander bushes blossoming & also you may be lucky to see colourful birds and butterflies. Desert is a perfect place for an exciting dune drive.

      On our way back will have a break (photo stop) at Town of Baraka to admire fish & vegetable markets.

      We leave in the morning for Nakhal, our first visit is a magnificent fort perched on a rocky mountain, which overlooks a small town known for date plantation. Few kilo meters away is a village called Thowarah and it's spring, believed to be full of minerals & healing ingredients.

      Continue our journey along the loop to Wadi Bani Awf, an ancient wadi offering breathtaking vistas along its 26km trail, is one of the five spectacular wadis in the Wilayat of Rustaq. Picture book, oasis villages, nurtured by copious springs and Falaj system, are a striking feature of Wadi Bani Awf. The wadi is about 10 minutes' drive from the ancient city of Ar-Rustaq and winds its way through the towering heights of Jebel Al Akhdhar. A crumbling watchtower stands high on a crag marking the entrance to the wadi.

      We drive further to reach the extraordinary charming farming village called "Ballad Sayt". Enjoy your time at the village. Return back to Muscat in the evening.

      From Muscat, drive to Nizwa through Hagar Mountain via Fanta.
      Nizwa the capital of interior & the birthplace of Islam and also the former capital of the Sultanate.

      The old capital boasts of 17th century built Round Tower Fort, with its impressive size (the central tower is 24 meter high and 27 meter wide), as well as the traditional soup, where the locals trade traditional ornamentals like hand carved Khanjars, silver jewellery' are the main attractions of Nizwa.

      Passing by Wadi Ghul, a farming village in the mountain range, continue our drive to the highest point of Oman over 3,000m above the sea level, offering a spectacular view deep down to Grand Canyon of Oman. Jabel Shams (the mountain of the sun) is also the home to weavers of heavy woolen rugs in distinctive red, black and brown geometric designs.

      The mountain is having a cool weather all year around and offers a refreshing step to your visit in Oman.

      On our way back to Muscat, will have a photo stop at Al Hamra, one of loam villages in Oman, where remains of ancient settlements still can be seen. 400 year old mud houses still awaiting your arrival.

      The tour starts in the morning, driving through Hajar Mountain range via Fanja, protected by its 2 watch towers.       Also Nizwa is renowned for its Friday livestock auction which takes place at Souq premises

      A photo stop is planned at the pretty village of Birkat al Mauz; enjoy a short walk through its oasis & dense date plantation.

      Continue the drive up to the mountains, will stop for a short break at Wadi Bani Habib, most beautiful dried up river bed which stretches out 20 – 30km. This wadi skirts scenic villages with their terrace framings. Will drive further to the peak point of the green mountain, where you will enjoy a breathtaking view from the top.

      Jabal Akhdhar is famed for its orchards, typically laid out terrace style along the slopes of mountain, endowed with natural springs & Falaj. A variety of fruits such as Peach, Apricots, Figs, Grapes, Apples, Pears, Plumps, Almonds and Walnuts are grown on the top of the mountain. After sightseeing in the mountain, will drive back to Muscat & reach the hotel in the evening.

      Misfat Al Abriyeen is characterized by its alleys, traditional buildings, high mud buildings and agricultural terraces that wrap around the mountain, along with the old buildings. Misfat Al Abriyeen rises a thousand meters above the sea level. The homes of its inhabitants are at the top of the mountain and their farms are on the slope.

      Only a few kilometers' away is the Jabrin Fort, one of the finest and most picturesque Forts of Oman. Built in the 17th century meant to be the Imam's residence. The castle displays highest achievement in Omani ceiling paintings & wonderfully executed woodcarvings.

      On our way back, a photo stop at the pretty village of Birkat al Mauz; enjoy a short walk through its oasis & dense date plantation.

      Return to Muscat.

      We drive through the city of Baraka, there we stop at fish & vegetable markets (photo stop ) & then off road a dirt track through fascinating Al Hajar Mountains to Wadi Abyad, famous for water pools. (Water levels are depended on recent rain falls)

      Leave the hotel after breakfast, driving through Quryyat on the coastline.

      Our first stop is at Bimah Sinkhole, a part of collapsed mountain filled with sea water. This huge cavity now contains peaceful turquoise water, inviting for a swim. Continue the drive on a tarmac road, leading along the white sand beaches. These beaches are also nice spots for swimming or just for simple relaxation.

      Then proceed to Wadi Shaab, which is certainly one of the most gorgeous destinations within the Sultanate. Beyond the breathtaking entrance, the Wadi rewards you with views of aquamarine pools, waterfalls and terraced plantations; Kingfishers add glorious splashes of colour. Visit involves a 40 mints walk.

      Continue driving through the typical villages to the Wadi Tiwi, which is pretty impressive & experience a surprising contrast with its lush green wadi & plantations. Ideal for picnic.
      Return to Muscat by late afternoon.
